Custom Quote for Outlook 1.1

Custom Quote Addin allows us to quote (or unquote) selected text in Outlook e-mail messages.

Product Requirements

This program requires the following:

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/Vista

Software: Microsoft Outlook 2000/2002/2003

Outlook Option: Tools/Options/Mail Format: Compose in this message format: HTML

Installation Notes

For Windows 2000/XP/Vista:
1. Close Outlook.
2. Copy Quote.dll to the folder where you store Outlook addins (for example: C:\MyOutlookAddins\)
3. Do one of the following:
3.A. Run install.bat, and hit OK to close the confirmation dialog.
3.B. At the command-prompt, navigate to the destination folder, and type "regsvr32 Quote.dll", hit Enter.
4. Start Outlook.

For Windows 98 (or Windows 2000/XP/Vista):
1. Start Outlook.
2. Click Tools/Options/Other/Advanced Options/COM Add-ins.
3. Click Add... and browse to the addin folder.
4. Select Quote.dll and hit OK.
5. Click OK 3 more times, to close all open dialogs.

Note. If you want to rename/move your Outlook-addins folder, or move the addin to another folder, just repeat the procedure, and reregister the addin.

Product Usage

To quote or unquote some text:
1. Start Outlook, and open the message of your choice (or start the new message).
1.A. If it's not the "composition message", to edit the message click Edit/Edit Message.
1.B. Make sure formatting is HTML (to do so, check menu item Format/HTML).
3. Select few sentences of text.
4. Click Format/Quote_Unquote Selected Text.
5. Enter the quotation sign and hit OK.

To check for the program version:
Click Help/About Custom Quote Addin, from the main Outlook menu.

Uninstallation Notes

1. Close Outlook.
2. Do one of the following:
2.A. Run uninstall.bat, and hit OK to close the confirmation dialog.
2.B. At the command-prompt, navigate to the destination folder, and type "regsvr32 /u Quote.dll", hit Enter.
3. Delete Quote.dll
